I'll put this on bikewise after the police report is available.
Thanks Clint !!! After reading the comments and almost puking on myself because I have to live in a place with such ugly humans. How do people get so far with a head so empty.
A head so full of themselves and empty of knowledge about how the tax system works along with consideration for others. You and Tyler contribute more taxes to the roads here than some redneck with a truck and a camaro.
I have put on my blue jumpsuit detective outfit and will be taking pavement samples and DNA for the police as a full time unpaid privatized city hugger I want everyone to know the city of huntsville supports you cyclist out there. Our mayor Tommy who has not ridden his bike since his inaugural bike ride. has said he plans to take his bike with him on vacation out of the state because this place is crazy and you all are fucking crazy for ridin them there biiiiiikes.
Sadly Bill Kling has been to busy helping inflate the prices in the "Lowe Mill Village" to get the ball started on gentrification. The deep pocketed developers thank you bill. Now we have to figure out how to get rid of "those people".
Has Alabike or BASC contacted the woman who was hit?
WHNT is having a story on the recent cycling accidents on the 6 newscast tonight
Great they can interview another "cyclists" who drives.
Sorry but I can already tell you what they are going to say, Wear a helmet and obey the rules of the road and cars load up that refrigerator in your SUV and get er done.brought to you by textrus
so i read the transcript from the news story and yeah "Cycling experts tell WHNT-News 19, in Alabama cyclists must obey the same road rules as drivers." true same rules same rights. why couldn't the experts stress bicyclists' right to the road and if they did - why didn't the news story state that. i feel that people in this city want a nice easy solution to this share the road problem - tell drivers nothing and put the entire burden on cyclists and tell them that they just need to "obey" and "be safer" - problem solved - its all your own fault should something happen to you.
all these posts about accidents and near accidents are really upsetting to us - but do they upset our government, city council, mayor, the powers that be? enough to act on it?

ok not in a crosswalk or a cyclist riding properly or anything, so maybe the motorist isn't much to blame, but i'll be damned if i'm hitting a kid when i'm on my bike
