Oil went over $100 a barrel yesterday.
How you like them SUVs now bitch
But the car companies are really working on it. The Yukon Denali is up to 12/18 from the 12/15 of 2002. What an improvement. If they keep this up, it will get twice the mpg of a Mack truck with Cat engine by 2020. Nevermind that the highway is for 55 and it's going to be back down to 14 or below on something so big when you're going 65-75 like people do here on the highways and interstate.
that's ridiculous they shouldn't even allow the manufacture of any new passenger cars with city mpg less than 20 but that's ok these dumb McDonald's loving mother fuckers driving their Earth destroyers are going to pay the price the day gas hits of $5.00/gal we all know it's coming the only question is when
oh don't forget the friday night ride is still on unless we have flash flood rain friday afternoon
A lot of Yukon Denali and H2 people are trying to maintain that image that not only can they afford that gas, but they can be so much that it doesn't even matter to them. But that's not true for all of them and the Navigator and Lexus GX470 or 500hp Corvette or most powerful pickup ever offered new this year by GM or whatever drivers. It's not true for most of them. But they'll cling to it and go into debt more or not afford the best college for their kid or whatever to keep the image. And they'll lose it all. Some of them will have better sense, and some can really afford it, but it's like 10% of them. The Maybach drivers will keep driving the Maybach owners in the Maybach, but a lot of this shit is going to go. Even companies like Lexus keep making more powerful vehicles. 300hp was twice was you needed, so there's no point in 375. Even with shutting off cylinders and stuff to improve mileage, there needs to be a different focus. But for a while I don't care, I'm saying fuck cars and rolling bike trailer style.
